Public Debates
Public Debates about the past involve different social groups which express, share and discuss their understandings of the past and their ideas how to come to terms with these memories to head for the future. They can happen in many ways, e.g. in media or in public gatherings. Public debates pay tribute to the importance of including society as a whole in rewriting history as well as in deciding upon the means of remembrance.Contextual Reflections
